Crop Culture Report: Cordyline Electric Pink
Container: 6” or one gallon. Transplant cell directly into 6” / gallon or transplant into 4” initially, then ‘bump’ into larger container after roots have fully developed in 4”.
Total grow time is 12 to 18 weeks.
Water requirements: Water well and allow soil to dry to ‘blonde’ color before another watering. Cordyline Electric Pink should not dry completely or stay dry for extended period of time or color will fade from bright Pink and Burgundy.
Fertilizer requirements: low to moderate, feed every 2 to 3 weeks during production. Slow release is not recommended so not to build salt levels in soil. If using slow release fertilizer, use moderately quantity and supplement with liquid fertilizer.
pH requirements: 5.5 to 6.2
Temperature: Day – 65 to 75°F (18 to 24°C)
Night – 60 to 65°F (16 to 18°C)
Hardiness: 25 to 28 F (-4 to -2 C°)
Light Level: High Light – 3,000 to 3,500 ft-c
Disease and insect pests: Mealy bugs and Mites: Scout regularly for these two insects.
Leaf Spot can be controlled with a preventative fungicide sprays monthly.
