planters<\/p>\n<p>The Windchimes\u00ae have been selected to create a unique component in mixed containers with an upright, branched habit that is tolerant of high light and warmer 27\u00b0C)<br \/>\nNight &#8211; 62\u00b0 to 68\u00b0F (17\u00b0to 20\u00b0C)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Media and pH requirements:<\/strong> Use a well-drained soil mix with a pH range of 6.0 to 6.5. Keep evenly moist, but not wet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fertilizer requirements:<\/strong> Feed with a balanced feed at 100 to 200 ppm N on a constant basis. A proper EC levels for a soil less mix is 0.75 to 1.0 mmos\/cm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pinching requirements:<\/strong> Rooted liners should be pinched before transplant, at approximately 3 or 4 weeks after sticking unrooted cuttings. An additional pinch at 4 weeks after transplant is suggested for finishing larger container since this will encourage a fuller plant.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Growth Regulators:<\/strong> Under warm, low light conditions, B-9 is effective controlling stretch. (1,250 \u2013 2,500 PPM rate). In warm temperature regions, Bonzi drenches at 2 to 3 PPM is highly effective.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Disease and insect pests:<\/strong><br \/>\nAphids, Whitefly, and Spider Mite<br \/>\nBotrytis, Rhizoctonia, and Pythium<br \/>\nFuchsia are susceptible to crown rot (Rhizoctonia). When transplanting rooted cells, be cautious not to plant liner below existing soil of liner. Damage to stem will create entry for disease pathogens. Keep soil evenly damp for control of Pythium and Phytophthora and maintain good air movement around plants. Applications of a preventative root rot fungicides at labeled rate is suggested as well to control Pythium and Phytophthora. .<br \/>\nAvoid watering plants late in the day creating wet foliage and stems through the evening. Botrytis may develop, resulting in damage to flowers, stems and leaves.<\/p>\n<p>In warm temperature regions, Windchimes\u00ae Fuchsia will form a \u2018crown-bud\u2019 if grown in full sun with no shading. They will set buds and by pass the bud with new growth never developing full color. We believe this is a heat-delay type of response.
